How they feel on Dubai roads
The Urus drives like a supercar with four doors. It sits low, steers quickly and is at its best on open highways and on longer drives out of the city. In its sport modes it is loud and very fast; in town traffic it is calm and comfortable.
The G63 is about presence rather than speed. You sit high with a clear view over the traffic, which many drivers find easier on busy Dubai streets, and its V8 sounds as big as the car looks. It is heavier and less agile than the Urus in fast corners, so it suits a relaxed driving style.
Both are automatic with all-wheel drive, and both are large cars: allow extra room in hotel and mall car parks.

Mercedes-AMG G63: the standard G63 costs AED 1,299 per day in white, black, red or green, and the Larte Design and Night Black Magno editions AED 1,499. A G63 Brabus and a standard Urus are only AED 300 a day apart, so between those two the choice is about style: the Brabus is the boldest G-Class, the Urus the faster car.
Which one suits your situation?
Family or group of five: the G63. Every G63 has five seats and a tall, roomy cabin. Child seats are available on request; tell the concierge your child's age when you book.
First time in a powerful car: the G63 is the easier start, because you sit high, see more of the road and it reacts less sharply than the Urus. Whichever you choose, the concierge confirms the minimum age for your car before you book: 21 for prestige models and 25 for selected high-performance supercars.
On a budget: the G63 at AED 1,299 per day costs about AED 1,000 a day less than the Urus. On either car, rentals of seven days or more receive a 10% discount.
